Packaging and printing estimator

Model the box, the board, the print and the finish. See the price at every quantity, a ship-by date, the weight for packaging reports and a freight estimate. No account needed.

1 Choose a style
2 Set the size

Enter the inside dimensions of the box. Allowed range is 15 mm (0.6 in) to 900 mm (35 in) on each side.

3 Pick the board

4 Print and finish

Heavy solid colors use more ink than a light logo on a plain box.

Finishes (choose any)
5 Extras

Extras are priced per box. A printed prototype adds a one-off cost.

6 Quantity and speed

7 Delivery and currency

Price at every quantity

Same options as above. A bigger run spreads the one-off setup over more boxes.

How the estimate works

  • Board area is calculated from your size and style, with allowance for flaps, overlaps and sheet waste.
  • Board, print and finishes are priced per square meter. Conversion (die cutting, folding, gluing or assembly) is priced per box.
  • Cutting dies, print setup and finish tooling are one-off costs shared across the run.
  • Unit cost falls on a volume curve as quantity rises. Express and super express add a premium.
  • Freight uses weight, and volume for assembled rigid boxes.

Estimator questions

How accurate is the estimate?

It is a guide built from typical converter pricing. Real prices depend on the converter, the artwork and the current board market, so we confirm a firm price after a free artwork check.

Why does a small run cost so much more per box?

Setup costs such as the cutting die and print setup are the same for 50 boxes as for 5,000. Spread over fewer boxes, each carries more of them.

Can I estimate a size that is not in your catalog?

Yes. That is what this tool is for. A custom size needs a new cutting die, which is included as a one-off cost in the estimate.

Does the estimate include shipping and tax?

Production is shown separately from the freight estimate. US sales tax is added at order time where it applies. For UK delivery you can include VAT in the total.
